George Brett Topps Basic Set / Complete, PSA Graded (9 Avg)

  

This is a complete George Brett Topps basic set, all graded by PSA. The set starts with George Brett's Topps rookie card: 1975 Topps George Brett #228. Every subsequent Topps basic card is included all the way up through his 1994 Topps #180.

This set is complete and has been registered with the PSA set registry under the title:'GEORGEBRETTBASICSET'. The average grade of a card in this set is just below a 9 and individual grades on all 20 cards can be found in the included photo. Of particular interest are his 1975 and 1976 cards. The 1975 rookie card in this set is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. While it obtained a grade of an 8, it presents better than that due to outstanding centering and nice clean edges. The 1976 card also has a unique story behind it. Originally I had this card in an 8 from PSA, but the centering was poor.

This eventually drove me crazy and I began searching for a replacement card. I could never find the 8 I was looking for (and I certainly couldn't afford a 9) but I stumbled upon this 7.5 and jumped on it. The centering is again fantastic and the card looks much better than it's grade. All cards are housed in clean slabs, free of scratches or markings. Also worth noting is the fact that the PSA labels on each card are matching.

There is a small PSA hologram on the front of the label of each card which gives the set great continuity and an even better appearance. A photo of the set registry is included. The price of this set is for both the value of each card and set continuity.
